Đuro Đaković TEP in Slovenia built a cogeneration plant for Europe’s largest cardboard manufacturer
North of Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, we built and commissioned a cogeneration plant for Količevo Karton d.o.o. in Domžale. Količevo Karton is a member of the Austrian Mayr-Melnhof Group (MM Group), the largest producer and converter of cardboard in Europe. The cogeneration plant can use both clean wood biomass and wood waste from the client’s production facilities as fuel.
Đuro Đaković TEP in partnership with GP projekti d.o.o.Ljubljana and others designed, delivered, installed and commissioned a plant that includes a fluidized bed boiler (BFB) with a capacity of 12.7 t / h, a steam of 450°C and 64 bar (a), a pressure turbine with a power of 1,3 MW, thermal power of 10 MW, chemical water treatment, fuel transport, flue gas cleaning system, a control system, together with other equipment, systems and facilities required to operate the power plant.
The cogeneration plant is in full operation, enabling the client to efficiently and continuously produce the necessary power for its production facilities and thus significantly reduce its natural gas usage requirements.
